About Tina

About Me

Hello, I'm Tina Connell.

I am a qualified counsellor and hypnotherapist with over 25 years of experience supporting people through life's challenges. Before establishing Healing Therapies, I spent many years working within education, including senior leadership roles, where I developed a deep understanding of the emotional, psychological and personal difficulties that can affect wellbeing.

My approach is warm, compassionate and person-centred. I believe that every individual deserves a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where they can talk openly, feel genuinely heard and explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.

I work with young people and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, loss and bereavement. Alongside my general counselling practice, I have developed a particular interest in supporting people through pet bereavement.

The loss of a beloved companion animal can be one of the most profound and misunderstood forms of grief. My interest in this area is both professional and personal. Having experienced the loss of a deeply loved pet within my own family, I understand how significant that bond can be and how isolating the grief may sometimes feel. I am passionate about providing a space where that loss can be acknowledged, understood and supported with compassion.

Whether you are navigating grief, coping with a difficult life event, struggling with anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, my aim is to walk alongside you with empathy, understanding and respect.

Therapy is not about being told what to do. It is about having the opportunity to explore your experiences safely, gain greater self-understanding and find your own way forward.

Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone.

I would be honoured to support you on your journey.
